Who we are

Disorderly Conduct exists to create space for honest conversation, real connection, and greater understanding around mental health.

We believe people living with mental health conditions deserve community, dignity, and support — not stigma, silence, or isolation. We also believe that education matters. That is why Disorderly Conduct welcomes not only people directly affected by mental health disorders, but also friends, family members, advocates, and community members who want to learn, listen, and show up with compassion.

Our mission is to build a more informed, inclusive, and supportive community in the Charlotte–Rock Hill region through mental health awareness, education, connection, and charitable action.

We aim to bring people together through events, conversations, community engagement, and opportunities for learning. Our goal is to help normalize open dialogue around mental health, encourage empathy, and make it easier for people to find connection in a world where many still feel misunderstood or alone.

Disorderly Conduct is rooted in the idea that mental health conversations should not be hidden away. They should be brought into the open with honesty, respect, and humanity. Whether someone is navigating ADHD, bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, OCD, or another diagnosis — or simply wants to better understand the people around them — there is a place for them here.

As we grow, we also hope to support the broader mental health community by raising funds and directing support toward reputable charitable organizations whose work makes a meaningful difference.

At its core, Disorderly Conduct is about community: creating room for people to be seen, heard, informed, and supported.

What We Believe

Connection matters.

People heal, grow, and feel stronger when they know they are not alone.

Education changes culture.

The more people understand mental health, the more compassion and support can take root.

Everyone should feel welcome.

Whether you live with a diagnosis or want to better support others, there is value in showing up.

Stigma has to be challenged.

Silence and shame help no one. Honest conversation can change lives.

Community can make a real difference.

Small moments of support, visibility, and generosity can have lasting impact.

Our Mission

To foster mental health awareness, reduce stigma, and build inclusive community through education, events, and charitable engagement.

Our Vision

A community where conversations about mental health are met with understanding instead of judgment, and where no one feels alone in what they carry.
